This is frightening

Bush has previously asked “Is our children learning?”.

It turns out that most children look to parents, teachers and people of authority for examples. So in order to help the children more and to indicate what a great job he’s doing, he today pronounced “Childrens do learn.”

I’m struggling to think of a way to make this funnier but I don’t think I can.

Surely other americans aren’t this dumb?

OJ Simpson released from jail – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

“There is not a place on the planet where Mr Simpson could go where people would not recognise him,” Mr Galanter said.

Do they really have such a view of the world that  they think he would be recognised everywhere ? This seems to be yet another case of Americans believing that they are the only place in the world.

Maybe he means that if OJ and his friends were put anywhere on the planet, they would still be able to recognise him. Yes, that must be what he meant. It would be unimaginably retarded to not have meant that.

Engin are cool

Ok, Before we start I should tell you that I am an engin dealer and ordering through the link will give me some commission. That said, If you want to not do that, you can still sign up at www.engin.com.au and not have to give me anything.

Engin is an australian voip provider that offers fantastic service. We have many people who are customers (where I work at ilb) and I’m yet to hear of a bad report. They are cheap, easy and offer brilliant service quality. Even over a shared ADSL line, voip for home is now really achievable (although quality will degrade if theres too much other network usage). For businesses, we always use a dedicated ADSL (512k sym) connection and have no complaints.

Its great to see an Australian company truly operating on the same level as the companies in the US where they population density makes things easier.

One remote to rule them all

This little device, and the 785 as well, has already won the not coveted “Kevins Coolest Thing Ever” award for 2007.

This award is not awarded every year but has gone to some fantastic things in the past including the “Uwatec wireless dive computer” and the “Dreambox”.

Its not very often that my rampant consumerism actually makes my life better but this truly does. Even my father-in-law has one now and can finally work his TV out.

If you know me (and only people who know me tend to read my blog) then you really really need to buy one of these items. They are currently on Deals Direct and are worth every cent.
